Dauterive Hospital first opened its doors more than 90 years ago along the banks of the Bayou Teche in New Iberia. Since 1920, we have cared for you, your family, neighbors, co-workers and loved ones as we would care for our own.
The vision our founder, the late Dr. Henry Dauterive, had for this facility has remained a steadfast foundation upon which our more than 420 staff and over 100 physicians continue to build each day.
Today, Dauterive Hospital is proud to provide Acadiana's only full-time Lithotripsy for those who suffer with kidney stones, the Teche Area's only hospital-based rehabilitation center, an Intensive Care Unit with private rooms and other services we have set in place with you in mind.
